I have never really seen anything positive or negative about the TPS mod so I was a bit hesitant to make the purchase, but I was intrigued by the idea, so I decided to buy, install and see what happens.

After installing the TPS Mod into my 2000 this past weekend (5/20/2018), I was very interested into seeing what this would actually do and how it would perform. I just drive my insight, not doing anything special in driving techniques and I have never gotten anything higher than ~50 MPG ever. The roads in my area (PNW) are hilly, not open flat roads. On my first half of my commute, I knew something was different after 5 miles into the trip. I already was at 50.7 MPG, that has never happened before. By the time I got to work, some 20 minutes later, I was at 60.6 MPG. I was just thrilled to see these kind of numbers. In this part of the trip, I usually would get mid 40 MPG. So yes this mod really does work and it is worth the money, paying for itself in a matter of no time.

I would recommend the purchase to any one else with a 1st gen insight with a manual transmission.
